Okay, so I just watched K-pop Demon Hunters two days ago. I’m literally in love with this movie. Oh my GOD. Even though I’ve never really been much of a K-pop fan until now, ‘GOLDEN’ has been on repeat in my head for the last 48 hours. Do I like K-pop now? I desperately need to find a song that sounds like ‘Your Idol’.

I’m definitely not the only one who thinks that the movie was way, WAY too short. I read somewhere that the movie was originally supposed to be three hours long. (THREE HOURS.) We could have had so much more content to obsess over! (The unreleased RuJinu aquarium scene? Hello?) I would have loved to see the Saja Boys’ backstories, and a little more about the girls before they joined HUNTR/X. Well, that’s an opportunity for the creators to give us another amazing movie as a prequel. (🤞🏼!!)

Something that I would really love is for Netflix to release the vocals in the opening scene on the official Spotify soundtrack, instead of just the instrumentals. I had literal goosebumps when I heard it for the first time.

Also, I really hope that the team releases a deluxe version of the soundtrack. I think that it would make sense, because the movie is about a K-pop group, and it’s common for many artists to release deluxe versions of their albums. There are songs from the movie that aren’t officially on Spotify yet, like the vocals over the score suite in the opening scene (the ones I mentioned before), and the song that Jinu sings the first time he appears in the movie. Maybe they could even release some of the unused tracks that they had planned to use in the film. Honestly, I feel like a deluxe soundtrack album would be a genius marketing move, and us fans would love it (I know I would 😍!! ) <3

This movie has one of the best soundtracks ever. The lyrics and the vocals are INSANE. The movie’s title kind of threw me off before I watched it, but I’m so glad I did. This really was such an incredible movie. The plot, the relationships between all the characters, the bond between the members of HUNTR/X, and the amazing portrayal of the girls’ individual struggles all kept me completely hooked until the film ended (I wish it didn’t! I would have sat through it even if it were 5 hours long, I’m not even joking.)

Anyway, the point is—if you haven’t watched it yet (which is unlikely, because it’s brilliant and it’s been out for weeks), go watch it. Right now. Oh my god. I can’t believe I put it off for so long.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the movie!

Since this is my first official post, I’d really like to know if there’s anything I can change to make it better. The tone I’ve used when writing is kind of informal because I wanted it to feel natural, but please feel free to let me know if you all think that I should make any changes. Thank you! (I have no idea what I’m doing.) <3

Thanks for reading today’s post!
